Pebble Grey Select: Modern Tone, Practical Detailing

This new deck is finished in Trex Select Pebble Grey—a cool neutral with a subtle grain that reads clean next to masonry and light siding. The capped composite surface handles sun, spills, and wet weather without seasonal sealing, keeping color and texture consistent with simple rinse-and-go care.

A discreet divider board sets a datum for the field pattern and keeps long runs visually straight. Grooved-edge boards with hidden clip fasteners preserve smooth walk lines; expansion gaps follow Trex spec so the surface moves predictably across seasons. Joist tops are protected with flashing tape to help the substructure shed water and last longer.

Perimeter edges are wrapped in white PVC fascia with a tiny stand-off at the bottom edge to let moisture escape. The guard system uses white flat railings with slender black aluminum balusters—open sightlines, crisp contrast, and corrosion-resistant hardware where fasteners are exposed.

Care tip: seasonal soap-and-water wash is enough; use furniture pads on feet and avoid rubber-backed mats that can trap moisture.
